Family
Welcome to the family
Being apart of the P&P family means we promise to treat you and your loved ones like our family! Entrusting a stranger to care for your fur babies can be stressful. We totally get it. Our hands on approach will ease any worries. We get to know you on a personal level so you feel confident in who is staying in your home while pet sitting.
The Paws & Plants sitters pride ourselves on being a close knit team. We love our small business vibe, and we plan on keeping it that way. Every time you reach out, you’re talking to Rici. Anytime you book with us means you’re guaranteed personalized service. We will love them like you do!
Meet Rici
Hey folks - glad you’re here! I am a cat mom of two cats - my floofy son, Astro and my orange girl, Opii. I’m a cancer, a queer person and a big hiker. My hobbies include cooking, painting, and having a huge plant collection. I absolutely love thrifting and recently I’ve been learning how to play the banjo!
I’m a Mississippi transplant, and now call Winston Salem home. I have been around animals my whole life and found a passion in caring for them. I earned my degree in Interior Design & Studio Art, plus a Horticulture Certification in Greenhouse Management from Salem College. In 2021, my dog, Blanca, passed away from kidney disease. Devastated, I started pet sitting for the extra love.
Four years later, turned into Paws & Plants with such amazing clients. Paws & Plants grew into a team dedicated to animals, and a community that continually supports my small business. I am so looking forward to getting to know you and your pets. If you made it this far, thank you, and I hope to welcome you to the Paws & Plants family soon!
We’re a good group of folks who love what we do and who we do it with. Most importantly, we’re the team you can count on to make sure your pets and plants get the best possible care while you’re away. We’re here when you can't be!

Emily - Pet Sitter
I’m originally from Florida, but 15 years later, I now call North Carolina home. For fun I spend time outdoors hiking and exploring NC nature. Outside of Paws & Plants, I work at West End Cafe, a Winston Salem favorite. I’ve always had a big love for animals. I can’t have pets currently, so pet sitting is giving me the pet loving fix. I have tons of experience pet & home sitting. I love all animals, no matter how big or small!

Ben - Pet Sitter
I’m from Texas, but came to NC for college & made Winston-Salem home. In school I studied biology & worked with birds, reptiles, and amphibians. While growing up, my sister and I, had two sibling cats, Linus and Lucy. I have two pets now, Olive & Indigo. A tiny tuxedo cat & a rescue lab mix. You might spy me riding my bike for fun, or walking my dog Indigo around the Ardmore neighborhood!

Logan - Pet Sitter
Hi there! I’m Logan, I’m 22, and while I don’t have pets of my own, I’ve been caring for friends’ and family’s animals for most of my life. I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds and personalities, and I truly love spending time with them. When I’m not pet sitting, I work full-time at a restaurant. In my free time, I enjoy being outside and connecting with nature. I love hiking and staying active—especially when I can bring the doggos along! I also enjoy a laid-back scene, like curling up on the couch with a good book or movie. Whether your pet is full of energy or prefers a more mellow vibe, we’ll get along great!

Ever since I was a little girl animals have always been such a huge part of my life- now as an adult I have two cats (Ra and Binx) & a golden doodle named Ramona! I’d own an entire farm full of them if I could. I look forward to taking care of your sweet babies! When i’m not working at Paws & Plants, come see me at Fiddlin’ Fish & Easy Tiger Beer Garden.

Brittney - Dog Walker
I’ve been a lover and caretaker of animals large and small for about 25 years! Including working at equestrian facilities and farms. I currently work for an eventing barn, caring for horses, goats, as well as the cats and dogs on the property. When I’m not at the barn, I enjoy spending time cooking, working on interior design projects, and being cozy watching movies / reality TV with my partner and pup!
